A Cinderella Story
A lot of time and effort go into selecting the perfect pair of shoes to complement your wedding gown. Unfortunately you can't have the perfect high heels with dance-the-night-away comfort. The secret, however, is that you should have at least three pairs of shoes on your wedding day!
The first pair of shoes is your true wedding shoes. This should be an elegant pair of shoes that goes perfectly with your wedding dress. These are the shoes to wear when you walk down the isle, or make the big entry into the reception hall. The true wedding shoes are the shoes that everybody will see.
However, most photographers like to take brides into surrounding gardens to get some exquisite pictures. These photos often require you to step into flower beds, walk next to or into duck ponds or just stand in uncomfortable positions. For most brides this is a bit of a problem.
The solution is to get some relatively cheap shoes that you can use for your outdoor shots. Ideally your outdoor shoes should be fairly comfortable so that you can hold that pose, but still have vague resemblance to wedding shoes in case the camera happen to get a peek at them. Most importantly: choose a pair that won't get your heart broken if they get a little bit dirty.
The last pair of shoes a bride needs is the "end of evening shoes". Toward end of the reception your new husband will loosen his tie, your in-laws will make peace and the nerves will be something of the past. How about having some nice dancing shoes so that you can also enjoy your own wedding party?
How to juggle three pairs of shoes? That is what bridesmaids and mothers are for! Get people to hide the shoes in cars, bags or under a table and have them handy for you on call.
